Interview with Your Bennington Admissions Counselor

    Bennington College

Tonya Strong, Associate Vice President of Admissions

Tonya works with first-year students from high schools in NYC-Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island, all US Territories, and Undocumented/DACA students.  Please only register for an interview with Tonya if you go to school in one of these areas.

The Bennington Interview is open to seniors and transfer applicants. It is an optional part of the application and a chance for us to get to know you beyond what exists on paper. It’s not just another hoop to jump through, but rather an opportunity for us to have a real conversation about you, your interests, and your ambitions for your college experience.

If you aren't ready for an interview, we strongly encourage a virtual information session and/or a student-led virtual tour.  They are small group conversations open to students and family members at any point in the college search process.  We also have Virtual Open Houses throughout the year.  Check out what's available here.

If you are able to visit campus in-person, you can find the campus visit calendar here.

If none of these options work for you, please email Tonya directly, and she will do her best to accommodate your schedule.

    International students
For international students (applicants who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents), interviews will be offered by invitation each application round. If there is further information we need from you or questions we would like to ask, you may receive an invitation to interview after you submit your completed application. To learn more about Bennington before you apply, please sign up for one of the internationally focused events on our calendar. You should not sign up for an interview on this page.
